Let's Talk Cloth Diapers

The first brand of cloth diapers I will be taking about are Bum Genius.  Bum Genius (BG) is a product of cotton babies. They come with 2 Microfiber (MF) inserts a newborn size and one size. These diapers come in Velcro and snaps or just snaps. There are three rise settings on these diapers making it an one size (OS) diaper. They go from birth to potty. They come in 13 colors and 2 prints, they also come in artist prints. I personally have 6 of these diapers and love them. I have not had any problems with these diapers. The way I wash them is I do a pre-wash with a normal wash cycle and 2 rinses with Rockin Green detergent (RnG). I either dry on airdry or on medium heat.

Now you may have some issues with the MF inserts as these do hold smells so if you do you can use vinegar, RnG funk rock (soak), or RLR (soak).  If you get any stains on your inserts or diapers you can spray them with lemon water and put them in the sun. The sun is great for getting the stains out.

Depending on where you decide to buy these from you you will spend anywhere from 17.95- 25 per diaper. So they are not the cheapest diapers you can buy but they are of great quality. My favorite print is the Albert print diaper.

A little about this blog

In this first post I'm going to tell you about how my blog will work. I'll be reviewing products that are safe for the environment. I will give tips on care of cloth diapers. I will tell you the pros and cons of similar products. I want to make this blog the best blog possible so any criticisms are welcome but keep it civil. I want all comments to be kept civil between on another or else I will be removing all the comments that are uncivil. I can't wait for this blog to grow and for people to learn ideas from this blog. Thank you for joining me in the journey.
